Will Makeup And Hairspray Affect A Cat Scan

| Rorie Senior Member (female) Join Engagement: Jul 2003 Location: Michigan Posts: 296 | encephalon mri and hair spray/makeup I take an MRI tomorrow to encounter how things have changed. My dr. has never told me to avoid hairspray and makeup etc. for an MRI, but I read somewhere that it could interfere with the test. In the past, I accept went without hair spray and makeup, simply I hate to practise that because I volition be coming together with the doctor immediately later on and I don't want to look like I only got out of bed. What exercise you think? Is it ok to use these products on the day of an MRI? Likewise, I know metal is harmful...then ladies, do yous habiliment bras? (metal clip in the back). Do yous wear sweats and then there is no metal zipper on your pants? And what most metal on your shoes? thank you for the assist. delight let me know asap as I go in tomorrow. |

Also I was told to wear clothing with no metal clasps or zippers. I was suggested to habiliment sweats with elastic waist and not to wearable a bra. A sports bra is okay. The lady that did my MRI told me that once she wore a bra with metallic clasps to piece of work and evertime she was close to the machine whe was getting snapped because the clasps were pulling away from her attracted to the automobile. | Natatude Veteran (female) Join Appointment: Apr 2004 Posts: 423 | Re: brain mri and hair spray/makeup i had lot's of MRI's and i don't habiliment brand up only they always ask if i have any on,, i guess if i did i would take to go launder my face,,, also information technology is on the brain and cervix and i wear jeans plus my bra and have never had to take annihilation off. information technology might be different if information technology was a whole spinal one i am not sure crusade i have never been given ane of those unfortunately! |

I've had 3 MRIs, wore sports bra and jeans (with metal rivets) and never had to alter wearing apparel. I've had full spine MRI in those jeans! |
